A Blueprint for a Better Tomorrow

"Politics of Hope, Not Hate!"

Campaign Finance reform

Money is the root of all evil in politics.

It is our intention to see that politics is less about money and more about ideas, by supporting candidates who take the clean election pledge.

The Blueprint for a Better tomorrow seeks to limit the amount of money that needs to be raised by the candidates by shortening the election cycle, and implementing a National Primary.

Shortens the campaign season to 6 months. If a candidate cannot put forth his plan in 6 months, do we really want this person running our country?

In addition the Blueprint for Campaign Finance reform puts forth a plan that promotes clean elections. Opens the process up to more Americans. Makes the requirements of states to get independent candidates on the ballot equal to the requirements for the 2 major parties. Makes Television and Radio stations allocate a block of free time to each candidate that is paid for by the government, not Corporate America.

Not only is it important that we have clean elections, we also must demand that the campaign commercials be held to the same standard as regular commercials are as far as being truthful, and not deceptive.

We would pass legislation that would fine any orgnaization or media outlet who ran a ad that wasn't factual. By fining media outlets, it would make them do some fact checking before they actually agreed to run the ad. If a Media outlet showed a consistant pattern of abuse against one party, they could have their FCC License revoked. We must try to re-establish unbiased journalism that serves the country, not the 2 parties.

The blueprint for a better tomorrow seeks to change voting from 1 day to 2 days, with one of the days being on a Saturday, when more people are off work, to increase partcipation in our elections, and to make sure nobody gets shut out, due to the polls closing, or there not being enough polling places.

The Blueprint for a better tomorrow, also seeks to make it law that all electronic voting machines must produce a paper copy of the vote in order to insure accuracy and to fight voter fraud.

Our Democracy depends on the people trusting the election process and we must do everything in our power to insure that every person who wants to vote has the chance to vote, and that their vote will be counted!

The Blueprint for a Better Tomorrow is a plan that will restore Americans confidence in the Election Process!
